Terms of use

Paragliding Events is run by the team behind Paragliding Events. It’s free, and we offer it as it is: we do our best to keep it running and correct, but can’t promise it’s always available or free of mistakes. We may change, pause or end parts of it.

Events are added by users, by organisations’ own websites and calendars, and imported from sources like civlcomps.org. We don’t organise, check or take part in any event, and aren’t a party to anything you arrange with an organiser, school or brand. Always check the dates, fee, requirements and conditions with the organiser before you book or travel.

Paragliding carries real risks. Whether an event, course or site suits your level, and whether you fly, is your own decision and responsibility, together with the organiser’s.

You need to be 16 or older to create an account. Keep your password to yourself and use two-factor authentication if you can; you’re responsible for what happens with your account. You can delete it at any time under Settings > Configuration.

You may add events, organisations and brands, and connect yourself to them, if the information is correct as far as you know and you’re allowed to share it. In particular:

• Only connect yourself as instructor, team pilot or administrator where that’s true.
• Only use Register as an administrator for an organisation or brand you’re entitled to act for.
• Only upload pictures and texts you have the right to use.
• No spam, advertising unrelated to paragliding events, misleading or offensive content, or attempts to misuse or overload the site.

What you add stays yours. You allow us to show it on the site, in emails such as alerts, and in link previews and search engines, for as long as it’s on the site, and to let others (like the organisation’s administrators) edit it. Events, organisations and brands stay on the site after you delete your account, so the community can keep using them.

Anyone can report an event that’s wrong or doesn’t belong here. We may edit, hide or remove content, and take away administrator rights or close accounts, when these terms aren’t followed or when the rightful organiser asks us to. Where we can, we’ll tell you why. Think we got it wrong? Let us know.

As the site is free and the events aren’t ours, we aren’t liable for damage caused by using it, by information on it being wrong or out of date, or by events listed on it, except where the law doesn’t allow us to limit our liability (for example in the case of intent or gross negligence).

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed; for important changes, we’ll tell account holders by email. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
